Psalm 119: Words Drive Thoughts

Psalm 119 is a wonderful psalm, meant for one purpose only.  That one purpose is regular meditation.  Its 22 stanzas, each of 8 verses, each start with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet.  Within each 8 verse stanza, every sentence starts with the same Hebrew letter.  It was meant to be memorized and mediated upon.  This Psalm represents the goal of our Christian life.  We are not to try to force our thoughts upon God with our words, but instead meditate on the Word, allowing the Word to transform our thoughts.
